We do not write about risk, governance, and sustainability as separate subjects.

We explore how they connect as systems of leadership, decision-making, and long-term value.

The Sustainability Leadership League (SLL) is a flagship initiative developed by the London Centre for Risk & Sustainability (LCRS) to help organisations transition from fragmented sustainability activities to fully integrated, capability-driven systems. Rather than focusing solely on reporting outputs or performance indicators, SLL evaluates the underlying structures that determine whether an organisation can deliver sustainability consistently, strategically, and at scale.

It provides a framework that examines governance strength, risk integration, operational alignment, and long-term readiness—giving organisations a clear picture of their true sustainability maturity. Through assessment, benchmarking, and collaborative learning, the SLL supports institutions in strengthening internal systems, improving decision-making, and embedding practices that drive resilience and long-term value creation.
