1. Our Commitment

The London Centre for Risk & Sustainability (LCRS) is committed to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking in all aspects of its operations and relationships, in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability, and expect the same standards from all organisations we work with.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  1. Employees and contractors 
  2. Partners and collaborators 
  3. Suppliers and service providers 
  4. Organisations engaging with LCRS initiatives, including the Sustainability Leadership League (SLL) 

3. Our Approach

LCRS adopts a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.

We are committed to:

  1. Acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings 
  2. Implementing effective systems and controls to minimise risk 
  3. Promoting responsible governance and sustainable practices 
  4. Aligning with broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles 

4. Risk Awareness

LCRS recognises that risks of modern slavery may exist in:

  1. Supply chains 
  2. Third-party partnerships 
  3. Global engagements and collaborations 

While our operational model is primarily advisory and research-based, we remain vigilant in assessing and managing these risks.

5. Expectations of Partners and Suppliers

All partners, suppliers, and associated organisations are expected to:

Comply with applicable anti-slavery laws and regulations 

Prohibit forced, bonded, or involuntary labour 

Ensure fair working conditions and lawful employment practices 

Avoid child labour and exploitation 

LCRS reserves the right to decline or terminate relationships with organisations where modern slavery or unethical labour practices are identified.

6. Due Dilligence

LCRS seeks to:

  1. Work with reputable organisations 
  2. Assess risks where appropriate 
  3. Avoid high-risk relationships where concerns are identified 

Due diligence may include:

  1. Reviewing publicly available information 
  2. Assessing organisational practices 
  3. Engaging in discussions with partners 



7. Reporting Concerns

LCRS encourages the reporting of any concerns related to modern slavery or unethical practices. Reports can be made confidentially to: admin@lcrsinternational.com. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled appropriately.

8. Training & Awareness

Where appropriate, LCRS will:

  1. Promote awareness of modern slavery risks 
  2. Encourage responsible business practices 
  3. Embed ethical considerations into its frameworks and initiatives 

9. Continious Improvement

LCRS is committed to:

  1. Strengthening its approach to ethical governance 
  2. Reviewing its policies and practices regularly 
  3. Supporting broader efforts to address modern slavery risks 



10. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains effective and aligned with legal and organisational developments.
